Brief Description of Persona:

Standing at 6’0’’, weighing at 180 lbs, with straight, short, and well-cut black hair and stunningly intense royal-blue eyes, F’rom is considered extraordinarily handsome for his 19 Turns of age. With broad shoulders and a tone, muscled torso, his once gangly frame is filling out nicely, with hard, defined muscles. With a firm jaw, heavy, defined eyebrows, and high cheekbones, his face can easily take any young woman’s breath away. His legs are powerfully muscled, the result of his hunting Turns before he Impressed.

F’rom has never been disposed to material excess, and so wears what is comfortable and utilitarian, but does have a bit of superficial pride in him. He does have a few good leather pants and fashionable tunics for special occasions, including several well-made belts and well-styled boots. He used to have a constant scowl on his face, but as he grows and matures, the scowl has come to be replaced by a look of indifference or intense concentration. Most of the time, he wears a plain tunic and leather pants and boots, but does have a couple of swimming shorts that he uses when bathing his dragon.

Once crude, rude, and a loner, his way of hiding his warm disposition and caring heart, F’rom has come a long way since the days before he Impressed Slik and Farazath. He still maintains an indifferent air when around other people on the ground, but when fighting Thread he is a team player, and obeys his Weyrleader and Wingleader without question. He is still given to occasional fits of anger and temper, but has since taken a more positive view on life. Unfortunately, he is still prone to breaking things, especially when he feels foolish or stupid. He still prefers to spend time with just himself, his fire-lizard, and his dragon, but is slowly opening up to the others around him. He has learned humility and modesty, and shows tremendous promise as a Wingleader and Wingsecond.

The few who know or interact with him attribute his sudden change in personality and disposition to Serras, weyrling to green Vannalith, who was only a Candidate when F’rom encountered her. F’rom fell in love with her at first site, and became obsessed with finding out who she was. He became insanely jealous whenever other riders spoke to her or interacted with her, and didn’t realize that the young woman was equally taken with him. Now no longer afraid to admit his feelings for her or display his affection for her openly, F’rom suffers from the frustration of not being able to establish a proper relationship with her until she graduates from Weyrlinghood. He now keeps his distance from Serras, under Lady Ytossi’s charge, and is determined to prove to the Weyrleaders that he can discipline himself for the sake of her and her dragonet.

Brief History of Persona:

The only son and child of greenrider Romola and bluerider F’rel, Forom spent the majority of his childhood bitterly hating his parents and Romola’s three other children, his half-siblings. Romola and F’rel, in the Turns following Forom’s birth, would take increasingly more and more trips to the south, to “spend some time alone together”, leaving Forom in the care of the foster mother who cared for F’rom’s three half-siblings. F’rom learned to be cold, hateful, and indifferent at the hands of their ministrations, until they finally left him alone, for fear of his violent responses and fury.

F’rom went south several Turns later, and hunted for a trading caravan for marks and a place to sleep. He won a fire-lizard’s egg in a greased rope-climbing contest, and felt the frost around his heart melt a little once he Impressed blue Slik. One Turn later, he was Searched and brought to Coral Reef Weyr, where he Impressed bronze Farazath. He spent the majority of his Weyrlinghood aloof and insensitive to the chastisements of authority, but has since then matured, on account of Serras, a Candidate who Impressed and is now weyrling to green Vannalith. He has proclaimed his love for Serras, but is under charge by Weyrwoman Ytossi to keep away from the weyrling as per Weyr rules. Determined to prove himself to his Weyrleaders and keep from getting Serras in trouble with his attentions, he has applied himself tirelessly to the tasks that his Wingleader, Weyrleader M’kar, has charged him with.

Brief Description of Dragon:

Colored a shade of bronze so rich that he looks as though he is carved from dark, burnished gold, Farazath is a massive bronze, with a long neck and broad wingspan. As a dragonet he was fairly large, and his rider was correct to assume that he’d be a large, agile adult dragon. His underbelly is a slightly lighter shade of bronze, leaning more toward copper than anything else. Farazath’s eyes are larger than a usual dragon’s, which gives him a wider scope of vision in the air, and his hide and talons are always perfectly cleaned and oiled, evidence of his rider’s devotion to his care and health.

Farazath is the one steady voice of reason for F’rom. Once as aloof and indifferent as his rider, Farazath has adopted F’rom’s affection for Serras and acted on it, believing it to be the best possible thing for his rider. Farazath has taken a liking to Serras and has spoken to her on a few occasions. Farazath is an excellent judge of character, and although he no longer trips weyrlings or their dragonets for fun, he has taken a fiercely protective liking to Vannalith, Serras’ dragonet. As affectionate with Vannalith as he is with Slik, Farazath has made it his personal duty to stand guard over the dragonet while she sleeps. Pleased that he and his rider are part of Phyzath’s wing, Farazath has worked just as hard as his rider to prove that they are the best.

Brief Description of Pet:

Slik is a saucy little fire-lizard, and with the exception of Farazath, F’rom, Serras, and Serras’ brown fire-lizard Eros, thoroughly ignores everyone and everything else around him. He is fond of eating more than is wise for a small fire-lizard such as himself, and has been known to steal food from F’rom’s plate when the rider isn’t looking or to beg treats from Serras when she procures them. A light sapphire blue, with darkening blue toward the edges of his wings and talons, he is smaller than the average fire-lizard, but enjoys the protective custody of Farazath and the gruff affection of F’rom.
